When a high-tier run starts turning into a string of one-shots, don't assume every resistance needs to be pushed to the ceiling. Check what actually killed you first. A character wearing well-chosen D4 items can still feel fragile if one damage type is lagging behind, or if maximum Life and damage reduction have been ignored. Most deaths have a pattern. Mephisto pressure usually points to Shadow, Lightning, and Physical protection, while The Butcher makes Physical and Fire mitigation much more valuable. The character sheet gives you a better starting point than guesswork. Find the Weak Spot Look at the recent fight, then compare it with your stats. If lightning bolts, burning pools, or poison clouds keep ending the run, inspect that resistance before changing the whole build.
